The inspector, John Grey, was amazing- he was thorough and explained everything to the buyer; my issue is with the layout of the inspection report. This is the first time I have had a client use fox, and while you guys offer a ton of features that others don't, the report freaked my buyer out and cost me a deal- even with all the explaining that was done by John. I have seen other reports that label deficiencies as "diy" or clearly differentiate an item that needs to be repaired from one that you recommend be updated to current codes, so this can be done. The folks from Fox Residential from the customer service to the ground team inspectors represented a high level of expertise and responsiveness. With a house under contract on a Saturday, we needed to get an inspection ASAP. Fox responded on a Sunday and had their team scheduled and ready to go in short order. Walking us through the process and introducing us to a new experience with a change in operating equipment the inspection team addressed all questions and took their time with the entire engagement putting our minds at ease. We were recommended to Fox by our agent and could not have been more satisfied. We worked with John Gray. He completed the inspection on time and he provided us with a detailed walk through of the primary findings the same day. It was a Friday afternoon but John stayed several hours after completing the inspection to discuss our questions and lend his expert opinion. The report was done the same night and it was very well organized. We only had a few questions given the clarify of the report but John made time on Saturday night to answer our call and discuss our concerns. We used John Gray at Fox twice for home inspections during the option period for buying a house. During the first house, he was so thorough, informative and unbiased, it helped us realize that we did not want to proceed with the house. He never gave his personal opinions, more facts and it was up to our comfort level on what to do. We were so impressed, that when we came to the option period for another house, we hired him again to do the inspection. They also took $100 off for the new inspection. I can't say anything about scheduling, as our realtor did that. But they were good about sending reminder emails and paying online was easy. John also sent our inspection report over later that evening and gave us his cell phone number if we had follow up questions. Quality service and customer friendly. My first experience with Fox Inspections will certainly not be my last. They have the latest equipment and the ability to do the Wood Destroying Insect inspection all at the same time. It was as if John put a magnifying glass on the home.
